Required Documents for Sponsorship Applications
For the Sponsor:
- Proof of status in Canada (PR card, Canadian passport, etc.)
- Relationship documents (marriage certificate, birth certificates, etc.)
- Proof of income (NOA, Option C, employment letters)
- IMM sponsorship forms
- Police clearance (if required for PGP)
For the Applicant (person being sponsored)
- Valid passport
- Identity and civil documents
- Medical exam
- Police certificates
- Photos
- Forms for PR application

Spousal Sponsorship (Inland vs. Outland)
Inland Sponsorship: If your spouse is in Canada, you may also apply for an Open Work Permit while the application is in process. Outland Sponsorship: If your spouse is outside Canada. Often faster for travel purposes. We’ll help you determine the best route for your situation.
Who Is Eligible to Sponsor?
You may sponsor if:
You’re 18+ years old
You’re a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
You’re not receiving social assistance (except for disability)
You meet income requirements (for PGP)
You agree to a sponsorship undertaking
